We offer day care, respite, and permanent stays, tailoring our support to suit each individual's needs—whether they're with us for a few hours, a few weeks or making Wolborough Court their long-term home.
We are a welcoming, friendly and kind-hearted home. Often our staff will have a laugh and a joke with our residents and all our staff take pride in getting to know our residents and their family members well. As a smaller home, we nurture an atmosphere where you can make new friends and enjoy the pleasures in life.
Even more important to us is making sure that you never feel lonely or bored again and can enjoy a wealth of new experiences. With varied, twice daily activities, special taster menus to sample dishes from around the world and opportunities to discover new goals and passions – there’s always something going on at Wolborough Court.
When some of our residents join, they may feel a bit shy or not like they once did. You may have lost independence due to a fall? Or maybe a medical ailment? There are so many things that can 'knock you off balance’, but we pride ourselves on really getting to know you and what matters to you. The manager and your key worker will work with you, your family and other professionals to meet any goals you may have.
Whether it’s about feeling safe and independent, getting aspects of your mobility back, or improving the social aspect of your life - all of our residents are important to us and we want to help you to live the life you want, in the way you want. Whatever your goal we will be there for you.

As a smaller care home, we are able to create a warm, family-like environment where residents, staff, and families feel truly at home. Our manager isn’t a distant figure—you’ll see them regularly, involved in day-to-day life. Whether you have a question, concern, or simply want to chat, you’ll know exactly who to turn to. It’s this hands-on approach that helps us build strong, lasting relationships with every resident and their loved ones.
Hello, I'm Martine, and I'm absolutely delighted to welcome you to our care home family!
With many wonderful years dedicated to the care sector, I've had the privilege of working across various specialties including mental health, challenging behaviour support, and dementia care. Each experience has shaped my understanding that exceptional care goes far beyond meeting basic needs – it's about creating a warm, nurturing environment where every resident feels truly valued and loved.
What brings me the greatest joy is treating each resident as a cherished member of our extended family. Having previously worked with RCG, I chose to return because I wholeheartedly believe in our home's ethos and values, which perfectly align with my own philosophy of care. There's something truly special about an organization that prioritizes genuine compassion and respect above all else.
My journey began as a hands-on carer, and I've been fortunate to progress to management while never losing sight of what matters most – the personal touch that makes residents feel at home. I'm passionate about creating an atmosphere where families feel confident their loved ones are receiving not just professional care, but the warmth, dignity, and attention they deserve.

At Wolborough Court, we’ve created a warm and welcoming environment designed to feel like home from the moment you arrive. With 24 bedrooms, the majority of which are en-suite, and a range of thoughtfully designed communal spaces, our home offers comfort, privacy, and the opportunity to connect with others.
Each bedroom is carefully decorated in calming tones and fully furnished to provide a peaceful, private space where residents can relax and unwind. We encourage everyone to personalise their rooms with photos, mementos, and favourite pieces to make it truly feel like their own.

Our accommodation extends far beyond the bedroom. Residents have access to 2 comfortable lounges and 2 bright, spacious dining rooms — ideal settings for socialising, enjoying meals, or simply spending time with visitors. These shared spaces are the heart of the home, designed to foster companionship and community while offering plenty of room for individual choice and quiet moments.
Outside, a secure and beautifully maintained garden offers a tranquil space to enjoy the outdoors. Whether it’s a stroll among the flowers, catching up with family, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon with a cup of tea, the garden provides a peaceful escape and regular opportunities for seasonal activities.

Residents enjoy a choice of dishes and, where appropriate, can pair meals with a glass of red or white wine. We also run themed culinary experiences like Tasty Tuesdays and Fun Fridays, offering bite-sized treats from around the world — from mini Mexican tacos to Indian samosas and Chinese spring rolls.
