Beechwood is a warm, friendly care home in Yeovil.
With just 27 rooms, we are small enough for people to be properly known - their routines, preferences and personalities - while still offering the reassurance of being part of Rose Care Group, named Leading Care Home Group by CareHome.co.uk in 2024 and 2025.
Everything is arranged on one floor, so residents can move around more easily without stairs, lifts or confusing routes and so support is always close by.
Care and facilities
We support older people who need help with daily life, be it their memory, mobility or health may be changing, or they are joining us with mild to moderate dementia.
Our one-floor layout, familiar team and calm daily routines help residents feel safe, settled and at home.
Many bedrooms look onto our courtyard garden - a favourite spot for tea, birdsong, family visits and views of the beautifully maintained lawns and seasonal flowers.
Daily life
With a personalised Activities & Entertainment programme built around each resident's history, preferences, and care plan, we focus on meaningful days - not just occupied ones.
Some residents enjoy gardening, crafts, music, gentle exercise, silent discos, taster menus and seasonal events.
Others prefer quieter one-to-one time, familiar routines, conversation, or simply being in good company.
Our team
Beechwoodβs smaller size means families can speak directly to the people leading the care.
Our Home Manager, Deputy Manager and senior team are visible in the home and involved in daily life - you will often find them chatting with residents, joining in activities, or sharing a laugh.
Everyone works closely together, so residents are supported by people who understand their routines, preferences and the small changes that matter.
That continuity is one of the main strengths of a smaller home. Residents are not just supported from a care plan; they are known as people.
Food and dining
Our Head Chef and care team take time to understand each residentβs tastes, appetite, dietary needs and routines.
Traditional favourites, lighter bites, taster menus and flexible options are available, with attention paid to what each person actually enjoys and eats well.
The apples from our garden regularly make their way into homemade desserts!
Day care, respite and long-term stays
Beechwood offers flexible support for families in and around Yeovil.
Day care can provide companionship, meals, activities and support during the day. Respite care can help after illness, hospital discharge, carer fatigue or a short-term change in family circumstances. Long-term care offers a settled move into a smaller home where support can grow around the person.
At Beechwood, no one gets lost in the crowd. It is a home for people who value familiar faces, enjoyable experiences, steady routines, good food, attentive care and a calm place to belong.
We would be pleased to welcome you for a visit!

These shared spaces are the heart of the home, designed to foster companionship and community while offering plenty of room for individual choice and quiet moments.
Outside, a secure and beautifully maintained garden offers a tranquil space to enjoy the outdoors. Whether itβs a stroll among the flowers, catching up with family, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon with a cup of tea, the garden provides a peaceful escape and regular opportunities for seasonal activities.

We believe that life in our home should be vibrant, fulfilling, and full of opportunity. Thatβs why we place such a strong emphasis on wellbeing β physical, emotional, and social. Our activities programme is carefully curated to offer a rich mix of experiences tailored to individual interests and abilities. From sing-alongs and arts & crafts to light exercise classes, gardening, and quiet one-to-one sessions, thereβs something for everyone.
Activities are more than just a schedule β theyβre woven into our daily care. Our team members take time to connect personally with residents, encouraging involvement and supporting those who may be shy at first to find their spark.
We also welcome visiting entertainers, local school groups, and regularly organise community outings, helping residents stay connected with the world around them.
A Partnership with Family and Friends
We know how important it is for families to stay involved in their loved oneβs care. Thatβs why we see care as a partnership β between the resident, the home, and the family.
With your consent, family members are invited to be active participants in your care journey. From regular updates with staff and management to private consultations and unrestricted visiting (where appropriate), we aim to keep communication open and relationships strong.
Your family remains a vital part of your life here β not just welcome visitors, but valued collaborators in your continued wellbeing.
Living with Purpose
Wellbeing isnβt just about comfort β itβs about meaning. Many of our residents enjoy taking part in our Living with Purpose initiative, which offers opportunities to contribute to life at the home or support causes they care about.
Whether itβs helping with light home duties, mentoring others, or getting involved in charitable fundraising, having a role and a reason brings joy and fulfilment β and research shows it supports both mental and physical health.
Food & Dining: Familiar Comforts with a Twist
Mealtimes are about more than nutrition β theyβre a highlight of the day. Our kitchen team prepares a variety of traditional and modern meals using fresh, nutritious ingredients delivered twice weekly..

These events spark curiosity and conversation β and some of the favourites even make their way onto our regular menu. Got something youβve always wanted to try? Just let us know β we love a new idea.
