Rated Top Regional Care Home, 2025
Boutique, Personalised Care At It's Best

Beechcroft Residential Home is a small, boutique home built on the belief that every resident should be treated with the same care, kindness, and respect as you would expect for your own mother or father. As a proud Winner of the Top Regional Home Award 2025, our dedicated staff take great pride in creating not just a care home, but an extended family where residents feel valued and at home.

At Beechcroft, we believe our award success is down to our size. With just 18 beds, we’re able to create a truly home-like environment where residents form close bonds with both staff and each other. This warm, friendly setting allows us to provide highly personalised care, where everyone is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

We are a welcoming, friendly, and kind-hearted home. Our staff often share laughter and light-hearted moments with our residents, creating a warm and engaging environment. Every team member takes pride in getting to know our residents and their family members personally, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included. As a smaller home, we nurture an atmosphere where new friendships can blossom, and life is enjoyed to the fullest.

We encourage our residents to take part in daily activities, enjoy wholesome meals, sleep comfortably, and stay in touch with family and friends. Our focus is on helping residents rekindle their zest for life. As a smaller home, we take the time to get to know each resident personally, ensuring that even the little things that make a difference are always noticed and addressed.

Community is at the heart of Beechcroft. We have strong links with the local area, including regular visits from the local reverend, who provides comfort, spiritual support, and companionship to those who wish to engage. We are also proud to have strong connections with local schools, with students visiting regularly to take part in activities, share stories, and build meaningful relationships with our residents. These intergenerational interactions bring joy, laughter, and a wonderful sense of community to Beechcroft.

We offer both long-term residential care and flexible day-care options. Day-care guests are welcome to spend the day with us and return to their own homes at night, while shorter visits are also available for those who wish to stop by for a couple of hours—whether it’s to enjoy a cup of tea, a bath, or join in our daily activities with our warm, welcoming family.

Meet the Manager

Jessica Bailey

Home Manager

Hello there! I'm Jess, the Care Home Manager at Beechcroft, and I'm delighted to welcome you to our wonderful community!

With a warm smile and over a decade of experience, I welcome you to our care home family. My journey in care began after completing my studies in Health and Social Care, starting as a care assistant and working my way up to home manager—a path that has given me insight into every aspect of creating a truly nurturing environment.
My professional development through Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Health and Social Care has equipped me with the knowledge to lead, but it's my passion for people that truly defines our home's atmosphere.

Here, we believe that life should be lived vibrantly at every age. You'll find our residents engaged in activities tailored to their individual interests, sharing stories in our cozy communal spaces, or simply enjoying meaningful connections with others who quickly become like family.

My dedicated team shares my vision that no one should ever feel isolated or without purpose. Together, we've created a community where each resident's unique personality is celebrated and their preferences honoured.
We don't just provide care—we create a home where laughter fills the hallways and where everyone feels valued, respected, and truly belongs. Come join our family—we're saving a place just for you!

We believe that life in our home should be vibrant, fulfilling, and full of opportunity. That’s why we place such a strong emphasis on wellbeing — physical, emotional, and social. Our activities programme is carefully curated to offer a rich mix of experiences tailored to individual interests and abilities. From sing-alongs and arts & crafts to light exercise classes, gardening, and quiet one-to-one sessions, there’s something for everyone.

Activities are more than just a schedule — they’re woven into our daily care. Our team members take time to connect personally with residents, encouraging involvement and supporting those who may be shy at first to find their spark.

We also welcome visiting entertainers, local school groups, and regularly organise community outings, helping residents stay connected with the world around them.

A Partnership with Family and Friends
We know how important it is for families to stay involved in their loved one’s care. That’s why we see care as a partnership — between the resident, the home, and the family.

With your consent, family members are invited to be active participants in your care journey. From regular updates with staff and management to private consultations and unrestricted visiting (where appropriate), we aim to keep communication open and relationships strong.

Your family remains a vital part of your life here — not just welcome visitors, but valued collaborators in your continued wellbeing.

Living with Purpose
Wellbeing isn’t just about comfort — it’s about meaning. Many of our residents enjoy taking part in our Living with Purpose initiative, which offers opportunities to contribute to life at the home or support causes they care about.

Whether it’s helping with light home duties, mentoring others, or getting involved in charitable fundraising, having a role and a reason brings joy and fulfilment — and research shows it supports both mental and physical health.

Food & Dining: Familiar Comforts with a Twist
Mealtimes are about more than nutrition — they’re a highlight of the day. Our kitchen team prepares a variety of traditional and modern meals using fresh, nutritious ingredients delivered twice weekly..

Residents enjoy a choice of dishes and, where appropriate, can pair meals with a glass of red or white wine. We also run themed culinary experiences like Tasty Tuesdays and Fun Fridays, offering bite-sized treats from around the world — from mini Mexican tacos to Indian samosas and Chinese spring rolls.

These events spark curiosity and conversation — and some of the favourites even make their way onto our regular menu. Got something you’ve always wanted to try? Just let us know — we love a new idea.
